Nicolas Desbois

Nicolas Desbois joined L Catterton Europe in November 2011 as Partner and CFO.

Mr. Desbois began his career in 1991 as a consultant at Arthur Andersen. He joined LVMH in 1996 as CFO of the media and press group (“DI Group – La Tribune”). As CFO he conducted several acquisitions or disposals of media or internet companies. In 2003, he became Deputy Managing Director of “DI Group – La Tribune” in charge of Finance, HR, IT and Legal affairs, and conducted several restructuring plans or strategic and brand repositioning. In 2007, Mr. Desbois managed for the LVMH Group the acquisition of Les Echos (direct competitor of La Tribune newspaper) and the disposal of La Tribune. In 2008 he was appointed Managing Director of Les Echos in the new media group renamed “Groupe Les Echos”. In this position, he participated to the reorganization of the new group and implemented several operational projects as new media formulas, or new commercial policy and organization.

Mr. Desbois holds a Master of Science and Engineering from Ecole des Mines Paris Tech .
