Shawn M. Lange

Shawn M. Lange has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shawn M. is currently serving as the President of Lab2Fab at The Middleby Corporation since 2017. Prior to this, they were the President and Co-Founder of Lab2Fab from 2011 to 2017, where they focused on helping companies innovate and bring new ideas from the lab to full-scale fabrication. Shawn M. also served as the CEO and Co-Founder during that time. Additionally, they have worked as an Advisor and Investor at Confidence Systems since 2020 and as a Limited Partner at Santa Clara University Bronco Venture Accelerator since 2020.

In 2018, Shawn founded Brew Grit LLC, an angel investment firm, and served as its Chief Executive Officer. Shawn M. established this firm after the sale of Lab2Fab to The Middleby Corporation. The purpose of Brew Grit LLC is to create opportunities for people through entrepreneurial education and support.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Shawn worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Santa Clara University from 2016 to 2022. Shawn started their career as an Electrical Engineer at Electroglas in 1996, where they worked on automation and control system development for semiconductor wafer inspection systems. Shawn M. also served as an Engineering Co-op during their time at Electroglas.

Before joining Electroglas, Shawn worked as a Territory Sales Manager at Western Technology, which was later acquired by Valin in 2007.

Shawn M. Lange has a diverse education history. Shawn M. first attended Lowell High School from 1992 to 1996. After completing high school, they went on to Kettering University, where they obtained a dual degree in BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) and BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) from 1996 to 2001. During their time at Kettering University, they also pursued a minor in Applied Acoustics.

Shawn then pursued further education and enrolled at Santa Clara University from 2002 to 2006. Shawn M. completed their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) during this period, focusing on Robotics, Mechatronics, and Control Systems.

In 2011, Shawn briefly attended the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, participating in the California Program for Entrepreneurship.

In addition to their formal education, Shawn has obtained certifications to enhance their skills. In 2015, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner through cPrime, Inc.
