John Roberts is a seasoned technology and engineering leader with extensive experience across multiple organizations in the defense and lighting industries. Currently serving as Principal Fellow at L3Harris Technologies since August 2022, John previously held various significant roles at Raytheon Intelligence & Space, including Directorate Chief Engineer for Emerging Technologies and Engineering Fellow. Earlier positions include Chief Technology Officer at Cree, where John led R&D and engineering teams for LED lighting system development, and Senior Principal GPGPU Software Engineer at BAE Systems, managing GPU software development. John began his career as a Captain in the USMC, piloting the UH-1N Iroquois helicopter. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
