Andrea Vona has extensive experience in sustainability planning and environmental management, currently serving as Section Head of Sustainability Planning at the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation since March 2022. Previously, Vona held the position of Section Head for Grants and Legislative Policy within the same department from December 2018 to March 2022. From April 2008 to November 2018, Vona was the Executive Director of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, managing a $2.1 million budget and overseeing the maintenance of 1,600 acres of public land and community programming. Earlier roles include serving as an Ecologist at ICF International/Jones & Stokes and as Habitat Manager at Ocean Trails Golf Club. Vona holds a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara, a Professional Certificate in Sustainability from UCLA Extension, and a Master's of Science in Environmental Science from California State University, Fullerton.
