La Familia
Monika Poxon PsyD serves as the Clinical Training Manager at La Familia, where responsibilities include coordinating clinical training for doctoral interns and staff, advising on training-related matters, and providing clinical supervision. With extensive experience as a Clinical Supervisor for advanced degree students, Poxon also operates a private practice as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializing in mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, substance use, and LGBTQI concerns. Educational qualifications include a PsyD in Clinical Psychology, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology, and a Master's in Counseling Psychology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women's Studies. Previous roles include serving as a clinical psychologist at Kaiser Permanente and Octave.
