At La Foundry, we’re committed to saving discarded resources from the clutches of landfills and transforming them into remarkable creations. The transformation takes place with the power of mycelium, the vegetative part of fungi. By capturing agricultural, textile, and organic waste as valuable substrates for mycelium cultivation, we’re growing high-performing and affordable biomaterials that can be applied to a wide range of industries, including packaging and interior design. With a resolute focus on circular practice, we’re actively researching mycoremediation - where the products accelerate the natural degradation of themselves and the waste surrounding them when they eventually enter the landfill, liberating space and remediating our environment.
