Denise Hinz is a highly experienced scientific professional with a strong background in immunology and cytometry. Currently serving as the Scientific Lead Cytometry at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology since November 2013, Denise specializes in multicolor flow cytometry and sorting of various cell types. Previous roles include Research Scientist at the University of Leipzig, where Denise contributed to the Junior Research Group focused on the pathogenesis of new allergies, and as a PhD student researcher at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology, conducting research on MHC class II restriction assays and cytokine production in T cell populations. Denise also completed a PhD at the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research UFZ, studying the impact of the prenatal environment on children's immune systems and allergy risk. Denise holds a diploma in Biology from Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and a PhD in Allergy and Immunology from Leipzig University.
