Cyber Security Engineer at La Jolla Logic

Victor Castelli has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security and information systems management. Victor started their career as an Information System Technician at NATO, where they were responsible for developing circuit technical solutions. Victor then joined the US Army as an Information Systems Team Chief, where they supervised the operation of local and wide area networks and maintained connectivity and data integrity. After that, they served as an Information Assurance Manager for a forward-deployed Digital Signal Support Team in Afghanistan, providing communication support to international security forces. Victor also worked as a Recruiter in the US Army.

Following their military service, Victor joined NATO again as a Communication & Info Systems Planner, where they contributed to planning and overseeing communication systems. Victor then transitioned to the role of Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the US Army, where their responsibilities included managing server platforms, active directory, and user accounts. Victor also enforced network security and information assurance policies.

Currently, Victor Castelli works at La Jolla Logic as a Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, they serve as the Cross Domain Solution (CDS) subsystem Team Lead for the CANES-PMW 160 Tactical Network. Victor performs vulnerability scanning and STIG checks on air-gapped systems at multiple sites in California. Victor also prepares status reports on vulnerabilities found.

Throughout their career, Victor has gained experience in network security, information assurance, system maintenance, and communication planning.

Victor Castelli earned their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from SUNY Empire State College, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications, including Security + from CompTIA in June 2017, Network + from CompTIA in April 2018, and ITIL from EXIN your ICT competence partner. Victor also pursued a certification in Project + from CompTIA, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
