David Blais

David Blais has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with their most recent position being Director of Pharmaceutical Operations at La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company since February 2021. Prior to this role, they served as Associate Director of CMC Analytical Operations at the same company from September 2015 to May 2020. Before joining La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company, David held various roles in different organizations, including Manager of Validation & Stability at American Peptide Company from January 2013 to September 2015, Senior Analytical Development Chemist at Sangart from November 2007 to January 2013, and Analytical Chemist II at Arena Pharmaceuticals from January 2007 to October 2007. David also worked as an Analytical Chemist II at Dermik Laboratories from January 2001 to December 2005, and as a Regulatory Analytical Sciences - Quality Services Scientist at Merck from November 2000 to January 2001. David began their career as an Analytical Technician at Tektagen Inc from August 1999 to November 2000. Throughout their career, David has gained experience in a wide range of areas, including pharmaceutical operations, analytical operations, validation, stability, and regulatory compliance.

David Blais completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Albright College from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued Master's Coursework in Chemistry with a focus on Analytical and Organic Chemistry at Drexel University from 2001 to 2005.
