Ernesto D. Villanueva

Ernesto D. Villanueva is the current Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources at La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools. Ernesto has previous experience as an Executive Director of Technology and Instruction, School Principal, and Director of Educational Technology.

Villanueva began their career in education as a School Principal in Cajon Valley Union School District in 2005. Ernesto served in this role for five years before being promoted to Director of Educational Technology in 2010. Ernesto held this position for one year before returning to the role of School Principal, this time in Chula Vista Elementary School District. Ernesto served as principal here for three years before being promoted to Executive Director of Technology and Instruction in 2014. Ernesto held this position for six years before being promoted to their current role in 2020.
