NEED: Globalization influences rural and urban communities around the world in deeply impactful ways that create divisions by favoring those with power who, for the most part, have inherited social capital and different forms of privilege. Accessible educational models revolving around compassion and critical thinking that use language, place, and experience to enrich and strengthen communities are essential to evolving an increasingly interconnected world that can effectively solve conflicts caused by differences.

OPPORTUNITY: Effectively teach diverse populations with fundamentally different ideologies, perspectives, and beliefs to have a universal sense of belonging, then the possibilities for a sustainable globalization movement are endless. The struggle for power transforms into the cultivation of mutually beneficial collaborations. This opportunity is met with the implementation of a multi-language, place and project-driven education that revolves around teaching compassion and critical thinking that ultimately fosters improved social capital, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural understanding.
