Ted Compton

Ted Compton serves as the President of the Board of Directors for La Plata Electric Association since June 2021 and holds a position on the Board of Directors for La Plata Open Space Conservancy since January 2012. Compton previously worked as the Director of Technology at United Pipeline Systems from October 1993 until August 2024. Additionally, Compton was the Chairman of the Board of Directors at FastTrack Communications, Inc. from April 2014 to November 2023, participating in both the Strategic Planning Committee and the Finance Committee. Compton earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design from Stanford University, completing studies in 1993, and attended Durango High School.
