Isabelle Picard

Isabelle Picard is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in media, education, and cultural affairs. Currently serving as an animateur radio and chroniqueuse at Radio-Canada since September 2018, Isabelle also holds the position of première spécialiste aux affaires autochtones. As an author at Éditions les Malins, publications include "Nish 1 et 2," "nouvelles dans Wapke," and "Racines et de mots" since February 2021. Additionally, Isabelle contributes as a chargée de cours at UQAM since July 2017 and collaborates with La Presse from January 2018. Previous roles include special advisor to the Val-D'Or dossier at the Ministère de la Sécurité publique and coordinator/director at Fondation Nouveaux Sentiers, focusing on improving the futures of children and youth in Quebec's First Nations. Earlier experience includes teaching and cultural supervision at various institutions. Isabelle holds a Bachelor's degree in ethnology and Indigenous studies from Université Laval, along with a graduate diploma in museology and anthropology.
