Chanel Dovi

Peer Leader at LA Promise Fund

Chanel Dovi is currently serving as a Youth Advisor at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and holds multiple roles at the Afrikan Education Project, including Co-Programming Director and Co-Administrative Director. In addition to these positions, Chanel is a 2024 CDC John R. Lewis Undergraduate Public Health Scholar with the University of Michigan Future Public Health Leaders Program and acts as a Peer Leader for the LA Promise Fund. Experience also includes internships at Michigan Medicine and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where Chanel contributed to community health assessments and awareness campaigns. Previously, Chanel volunteered at Cedars-Sinai and interned with the UCLA Early Academic Outreach Program, assisting high school students in their college application processes. Education at UCLA is ongoing, following high school graduation from Alexander Hamilton Senior High School.
