Melanie Ramirez

Melanie Ramirez serves as the Associate Director of Youth Leadership at LA Promise Fund since August 2023, overseeing the GirlsBuild program, which engages over 1,300 students and 75 staff in social justice learning initiatives. Melanie has experience managing diverse roles including Therapist Trainee at Aviva Family and Children's Services, where treatment plans were created for children, and Health and Inclusion Manager at Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, focusing on cultural inclusion practices. Prior roles also include Housing Navigator at LA Family Housing, Disability Mentor at Student Ability Success Center, and various positions supporting youth programming. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor's of Social Work from San Diego State University.
