Governing Board Director at LA Promise Fund

Tanesha Duncan is the Governing Board Director at LA Promise Fund. Prior to their current position, they held various finance leadership roles at top companies such as Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Celgene.

At Amgen, they were responsible for developing and executing the US I&I Commercial strategy and business plan in alignment with the global strategy. This included leading the US I&I finance and business planning team and partnering with the GM and other members of the US I&I leadership team to drive strategy, growth, and operational excellence.

In their role at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Duncan was appointed lead of overall separation management program and transition services for sell-side divestiture 'mega-deal' ($>10B). Tanesha supported negotiations with Buyer on a highly accelerated timeline and was the day-to-day operational leader for 13+ cross-functional workstreams including Commercial, Clinical Development, Operations and enabling functions in the planning and execution of the carve-out of a divestiture asset (inclusive of Day One separation and transition service requirements).

Lastly, at Celgene Duncan was responsible for revenue forecasts, as well as managing operating expenses for the affiliate, with the goal of optimizing the local P&L.

Duncan has extensive experience in finance and business leadership roles across various industries. Her experience has positioned their well to take on their current role as Governing Board

Tanesha Duncan received their MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Tanesha then went on to complete an exchange student program at IPADE Business School. Finally, they earned their BS in Economics from the Wharton School.
