Brenda Yaghoobi

Brenda Yaghoobi is an Environmental Engineer Associate at LA Sanitation & Environment since August 2023, previously serving as an Engineering Intern at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California from July 2022 to March 2023. In this role, Brenda contributed to piping replacement projects related to the Colorado River Aqueduct, evaluating pipe designs for enhancements. Brenda's academic background includes significant research experience at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where investigations centered on hazardous waste as a low-cost thermal energy storage medium and the integration of various desalination techniques. Brenda also co-founded and served as Treasurer for the Society of Women Engineers at Glendale Community College and has experience as a Dance Instructor at Ara Dance Studio. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Glendale Community College, and a high school diploma from Crescenta Valley High School.
