Mark Nguyen, EIT, currently serves as an Environmental Engineering Associate I at LA Sanitation & Environment, focusing on the Safe Clean Water Program since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientific Aid at the State Water Resources Control Board and an intern at Orange County Public Works within the OC Watersheds project. Mark was a Project Assistant at Citadel EHS, where responsibilities included fieldwork assistance and technical report generation. Contributions as a Co-Author for the UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge involved researching and analyzing water quality indicators for a water report card. Additional experiences include leading communications for a waste processing study at Santa Monica Pier and volunteering in stormwater research under Dr. Sanjay Mohanty. Mark holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering from UCLA, along with an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Mathematics from Santiago Canyon College.
