Francisco Gamez Arcaya

Francisco Gamez Arcaya has had a long and successful career in law and business. Starting in 1994, they were a Junior Partner at Bermúdez Nevett Mezquita López, Abogados. From 2003 to 2012, they were a Law Professor at Universidad Monteávila, teaching Corporate Law, Contracts, and Capital Markets. In 2006, they became an Of Counsel Partner and Partner at Gamez & Vera, Abogados. In 2012, they began writing articles as a contributor to Diario El Universal. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Director at FGA Consulting Inc. In 2020, they joined the Corporate Governance Committee at both Real Seguros Vzla and C.A. REASEGURADORA INTERNACIONAL DE VENEZUELA. Currently, they are the Chairman & Director of Arcaya Family Office and the General Counsel & Secretary of the BOD at La Wawa.

Francisco Gamez Arcaya has a long and varied educational history. Francisco completed a Law degree from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 1997-1999, followed by a Master in Tax and Finance Law from the same university in 2000-2001. Francisco then obtained an LL.M. from Cornell Law School in 2001-2002. In 2015-2016, they completed a Global Professional LL.M. from the University of Toronto in Canadian Law/Legal Studies/Jurisprudence. Francisco is currently enrolled in a Diploma program in Philosophy Science & Religion at the University of Navarra, which they expect to complete in 2023.
