Thomas Mitchell

Thomas (Phil) Mitchell is an accomplished engineering and operations leader with extensive experience in manufacturing and facilities management. Currently serving as the Director of Automation and Facilities Engineering at La-Z-Boy, Inc. since May 2017, Mitchell previously held the position of Director of Operations at Guard-All Building Solutions, where responsibilities included daily operations management and capital equipment selection. Prior to that, Mitchell was the Director of Operations at Kalenborn Technologies LLC, overseeing startup responsibilities, municipal negotiations, budgeting, facility acquisition, and capital equipment purchases. As the owner of Mitchco, a consulting business focused on welding processes for steel manufacturing, and as Corporate Operations Officer at FMP Resistance Welding Inc., Mitchell managed operational decisions and budget appropriations while reporting to the Board of Directors.
