Kerry Purcell is the CEO and Board Member of LAB3, having advanced from Executive Director to CEO within a year of joining the company in October 2023. With a passion for leveraging technology to generate business value, Kerry emphasizes the importance of balancing the adoption of new technologies, like Generative AI, with the optimization of legacy systems. Leveraging over 20 years of leadership experience across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, Kerry has held significant positions including President for Kyndryl ANZ and Chairman for Kyndryl Japan, as well as Managing Director at IBM Australia and New Zealand. Notably, Kerry contributed to the reconstruction of Japan’s Tohoku Region post-2011 Tsunami during tenure as Managing Partner at IBM Global Business Services. Educated at the University of Canterbury and Cranfield University, Kerry currently resides in Sydney, with deep roots in New Zealand and Japan, continuing to foster relationships with clients across the region.
