Marcelo Ariel German

Marcelo Ariel German, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of genomics and biotechnology, currently serving as the Global Director of Lab Operations for Genomics at Labcorp since June 2023. Prior to this role, Marcelo was the Chief Scientific Officer at Insignum AgTech from June 2020 to September 2022, where strategic and operational decisions were guided to align with the company’s mission. Marcelo's experience also includes a consultancy in biotechnology R&D, a position as Discovery Leader in R&D at Corteva Agriscience, and various roles at Dow AgroSciences focusing on genomics and agronomic traits. Marcelo began academic and research pursuits with a PhD from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Delaware and various scientific roles at Delaware Biotechnology Institute and Exelixis.
