Software Engineer at Labcyte

Zach Smith began their work experience in 2010 as an Air Conditioning Installation Assistant at Controlled Systems of California. In 2012, they started working as a Private Math Tutor, providing tutoring services for students in mathematics, physics, and English. In 2015, Zach worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Labcyte. Zach then transitioned to becoming a Mechatronics Lab Instructor at San Jose State University from 2015 to 2016, where they led laboratory exercises and assisted students with their projects. In 2016, Zach became a Software Intern at Labcyte, where they gained experience in software development and worked on a new platform. Zach later worked as a Software Contractor, taking on full-time and part-time roles to contribute to the development of a new product platform. Currently, Zach holds the position of Software Engineer at Labcyte, focusing on creating motion sequencing platforms, UI tools, and implementing pattern identification algorithms for feature validation. Alongside their professional experience, they also served as a Student Assistant at San Jose State University for a graduate controls course on vector control of AC machines, assisting with course topics and developing flux estimation models for current control.

Zach Smith holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which they obtained from San Jose State University between 2017 and 2020. Prior to this, they pursued an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) at San Jose State University from 2013 to 2016.
