Jeongkyu Shin's work experience includes founding Lablup Inc., a start-up that focuses on innovation in cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies. Jeongkyu also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Pinion Industries, where they worked on developing secure big data archiving platforms and machine learning. Additionally, they were a postdoctoral research fellow at Pohang University of Science and Technology and a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan Medical School. Jeongkyu Shin was also the Chief Strategy Officer at ABLAR Company and an adjunct professor at Hanyang University. Prior to that, they were the leader of Needlworks/Tatter Network Foundation, a non-profit open-source organization known for creating and maintaining the Textcube weblog platform.
