Scott Marland

Scott Marland, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Scott is currently the Associate Director of Engineering at Laborie since May 2023. Previously, they served as the Owner of Wasatch Innovations from January 2005. Scott also held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Soma Oil from May 2021. In addition, they worked as a Ski Patrol at Brighton Resort starting from 1983.

Scott has also worked as a Principal Engineer at T.D. Williamson from May 2021 to April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Research and Development at Xenter, Inc. from July 2020 to April 2021.

Scott has a strong background in engineering management and technology realization. Scott worked at T.D. Williamson as an Engineering Manager from December 2019 to July 2020 and as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from September 2017 to December 2019.

Furthermore, they have experience in executive positions. Scott served as the Center Executive Director of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center at the University of Utah from October 2016 to March 2017. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director of BioInnovations Gateway (BiG) at USTAR - The Utah Science Technology and Research Agency from August 2013 to October 2016.

Moreover, Scott has demonstrated leadership skills as the Chairman of the Board and a National Board of Directors member at the National Ski Patrol from January 2009 to December 2014.

Scott Marland, PhD holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Scott also attended Oak Ridge High School for their secondary education.
