Amy Richards

Amy Richards is a seasoned professional in public affairs and political advisory roles, currently serving as Chief of Staff to the Shadow Home Secretary at The Labour Party since July 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Director at Global Witness from June 2018 to August 2023, and Associate Director at Portland from August 2016 to November 2017. Amy has also contributed as a Strategic Communications professional at Britain Stronger In Europe and as a Political Advisor at the Labour Party from January 2014 to January 2016. Prior to that, a Senior Consultant at Lexington Communications involved leadership of pro bono work in a consultancy focused on healthcare, education, and financial services. Amy served as a Policy Officer at ACEVO, a professional association for Third Sector Leaders, from September 2009 to May 2011. Educational qualifications include a 2:1 degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, obtained between 2003 and 2006.
