Stephane Chatel has extensive experience in quality and food safety management. Stephane is currently the Vice President of Quality and Food Safety at Lactalis Canada. Prior to this, they were the Quality and Food Safety Vice-President at Weston Foods, where they developed and implemented a strategy to prioritize food safety and product consistency. Before Weston Foods, Chatel held various leadership positions at Danone, including Vice-President of Quality, Food Safety, and Crisis Management for Danone Canada. Stephane also served as the Manufacturing Quality Director and Project Quality Excellence Director for Danone France, where they were responsible for implementing quality programs and ensuring compliance with regulations. Chatel began their career as an R&D Analytical Lab Manager at Danone Research, where they supported R&D and Quality departments in developing analysis methods for process control and product qualification.
Stephane Chatel earned a Ph.D in Food & Analytical chemistry from Aix-Marseille University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997.
