Michelle Wallach is the current Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Regulatory Counsel at Ladder Capital. Michelle has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and compliance.

Wallach started their career at Morgan Stanley in 1992 as part of the investment banking division. Michelle held various positions over their 14 years there, eventually becoming Chief Operations Officer of the division.

In 2006, they left Morgan Stanley to join Reservoir Capital Group as Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Operational Risk Management & Compliance. At Reservoir, they were responsible for managing the firm's regulatory and risk management program for portfolio investments. This included developing and implementing due diligence policies and procedures for operating companies, both domestic and international. Wallach also spearheaded a project to develop a database that aggregated risk across all hedge fund investments.

In 2012, they left Reservoir to join Ladder Capital as Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Regulatory Counsel. In their current role, they lead the compliance team and provides compliance advice to the firm. Michelle also coordinates regulatory audits and monitors firm and personal trading activity.

Michelle Wallach received their JD from New York University School of Law and their BA in International Relations from Brown University.

Michelle Wallach reports to Brian Harris, CEO. They are on a team with Kevin Moclair - Chief Accounting Officer, Adam Siper - Co-Head of Origination, and Kelly Porcella - Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel.
