Dolores la Porta Alvarado

Dolores La Porta currently serves as a Community Engagement Specialist at Illinois Action for Children, leading the North Lawndale Early Learning Collaboration and overseeing the Birth to Five Implementation Grant along with the Community Parent Support Saturation Program. Dolores has also held the position of Community Liaison at Ladder Up Chicago since May 2022 and previously worked for the Archdiocese of Chicago as the Marketing Operations Manager and Marketing Enrollment Manager from August 2018 to August 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Marketing and Development at Epiphany Roman Catholic Parish, Administrative Assistant at Cook County Government, and various roles at CME Group, where Dolores advanced from receptionist to Retail Manager and Private Event Director. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Business, Management, and Marketing, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Political Science, and Pre-Law, both obtained from Dominican University.
