Eric Hy

Eric Hy, P.E. is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with over 9 years of experience in transmission studies, currently serving as the supervisor of the Transmission Analyses and Regional Planning Group at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since February 2016. This role involves overseeing a team dedicated to long-term transmission planning to support the city's transition to a carbon-free energy system while ensuring reliability and safety. Prior to this, Eric gained experience as an Electrical Engineer Associate, conducting power system planning studies and performing technical analyses using Positive Sequence Load Flow.
