Haik Movsesian, P.E., serves as the Supervising Engineer of Distribution Planning at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since June 2014, overseeing distribution planning initiatives and previously managing non-wires solutions as a Distributed Energy Resources Planning Engineer. Movsesian has successfully led the Distributed Energy Resources Integration Study, coordinating extensive collaboration among over 50 consultants and 10 LADWP groups. Additional notable achievements include planning and managing the $18 million 20 MW lithium-ion Beacon Battery Energy Storage System, LADWP's inaugural large-scale battery project, and contributing to energy storage cost analysis. Earlier experience includes a role in Community Services and Parks for the City of Glendale, CA. Academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration from USC Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from California State University, Northridge.
