Michelle Figueroa

Michelle Figueroa has extensive experience in communications, primarily with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since March 2013, where roles have included Assistant Director of Communications, Manager of Corporate Communications, and Senior Public Relations Specialist. Figueroa's responsibilities include managing media inquiries, writing news releases, and creating informational materials to promote departmental projects. Prior to this, Figueroa served as a Public Relations Specialist for the City of Los Angeles, focusing on media and community relations for environmental programs, as well as a Mayoral Aide and Business Constituent Services Manager to assist small businesses. An early career included administrative support roles within the Office of Contract Compliance and an internship at the U.S. Department of State. Figueroa holds a Master’s in Communication Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Film from the University of the Philippines.
