Carrie McDonald is an experienced professional currently serving as the Manager of Volunteer Services at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center since September 2006. In this role, Carrie has been responsible for managing over 800 adult and student volunteers, overseeing recruitment, interviewing, placement, recognition, and scheduling to meet the Center's operational needs. Carrie also held the position of Interim Director of Programs from Fall 2021 to Spring 2022 and collaborates with various departments to distribute volunteer management tasks effectively. Prior to this, Carrie worked at Stanford University Press from 1997 to 2002, focusing on graphic design for marketing approximately 100 academic books annually. Carrie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Rice University, earned between 1987 and 1991.
