Ray Mathews has experience working as a Docent at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, conducting education programs on various topics. Ray retired from State of Texas after 28 years of service and now volunteers at the Wildflower Center. Prior to this, Ray worked as an Environmental Staff at the Texas Water Development Board and an Environmental Regulatory Officer at the Texas Department of Rural Affairs.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

The University of Texas at Austin's Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center inspires the conservation of native plants through its gardens and education, research and outreach programs. Established in 1982, the center is nationally-renowned for its programs in plant conservation, ecosystem design, native plants, sustainable landscapes and education. It was named the state botanic garden and arboretum of Texas in 2017.
