Jennifer Gilbertson

Jennifer Gilbertson has a diverse work experience in the field of global health, humanitarian innovation, and engineering. Their most recent role is as the Director of Impact & Implementation at Laerdal Global Health, where they lead a team responsible for operations, communications, sales, and country representation in six key countries. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Advisor for Humanitarian Innovation at the Norwegian Red Cross, focusing on strengthening humanitarian response through innovative problem-solving. Jennifer also has experience in health innovation support and program development at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. In addition, they have held various roles at Laerdal Global Health, including Operational Manager & Business Strategist and Global Implementation Specialist. Jennifer has also worked as a Manager for Global Health Strategic Initiatives at the Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design. Jennifer's background also includes research internships in nanotechnology at Beloit College and the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, where they focused on developing novel solutions for biomedical applications. Jennifer Gilbertson obtained their B.S. in Chemistry and French from Beloit College from 2008 to 2012. Jennifer then pursued a Masters in Scientific Engineering (MSE) with a focus on Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering Innovation & Design at The Johns Hopkins University from 2013 to 2014. Jennifer also holds additional certifications in Adaptive Leadership from Adaptive Change Advisors and Biological Safety Specialist from NAMSA, obtained in 2017 and 2015 respectively.
