Gbenga Onimowo

Gbenga Onimowo is the Commercial Director for Lafarge Africa. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and an MBA from the University of Benin, Nigeria.

He has functioned within the capacities of overseeing Marketing operations, strategic business management, driving sales volume across trade channels, Trade marketing and distribution management, Brand building and portfolio management and new product development/innovation.

As a certified Prince 2 expert, he has successfully managed several cross-functional business projects contributing huge commercial value, growth and business sustainability. Amongst these are Route to Market model change, New Market entries and Regulatory change management.

Gbenga has managed and coordinated different sizes of teams across boundaries. His success in people management can be attributed to the application of learning intervention methodologies such as coaching and mentoring. He is an excellent communicator and motivator.

Prior to joining Lafarge in 2019, he worked in British American Tobacco for 14 years in different capacities and Nigerian German Chemicals Plc (Pharma) for 7 years.
