The New York City Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest youth employment program, connecting young people between the ages of 14 and 24 with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences each summer. The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) at LaGuardia Community College has impacted the lives and work trajectories of thousands of youth across New York City over the last 25+ years. 

LaGuardia SYEP is one of the largest SYEP programs in the borough of Queens, supporting 2000-3000 youth each summer. LaGuardia SYEP partners with many employers across the country who are willing to give youth a chance to gain work experience. This partnership offers businesses an opportunity to expand their staff at no cost to them. 

Our success as a program has continued due to our powerful partnerships and networks who are committed to supporting deserving youth across NYC. We are continuously looking for partners to help us enrich the lives of our diverse youth population.
