Michael Williams has over 8 years of professional experience. Michael began their career in 2013 as a Backend Engineer at Bex.io, where they extended and maintained the backend logic of a whitelabel cryptocurrency exchange built in Elixir and occasionally assisted with frontend tasks. Michael then joined XPCP as an Engineer in Residence in 2014. In 2015, they joined Walter.ai as a Lead Software Engineer and worked with the founding team to identify and determine the feasibility of an investor search tool by building and selling a prototype. Michael then grew and led the engineering team to take the product to the next level. In 2018, they joined Phoenix Labs as a Platform Engineer, where they assisted the platform team in scaling services to meet the 50x load during the launch of Dauntless's open beta. Michael then joined the live operations team after launch to identify their needs and build several tools to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the game. Michael then transitioned to the analytics team to spearhead efforts to substantially improve how the team and studio at large would access and relate to their data. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Laguna Games as a Senior Server Engineer.

Michael Williams graduated from high school in 2010. Michael then attended a local community college, where they earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration in 2012. In 2014, they transferred to a four-year university, where they graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2016.
