Rob Sampson

Rob Sampson has worked in the tech industry since 2002. Rob began their career as an intern for the University of Oregon's Housing Department, where they were responsible for the website and print and digital design. In 2005, they worked as a Designer for niketown.com, where they designed and deployed product promotions to drive sales and reinforce branding. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Senior Media Developer for Compass Rose Media, where they worked with clients such as Microsoft XNA, Seagate, Atmel, and others. At GarageGames, they worked as a Web Director/Interactive Developer and Interactive Developer from 2007 to 2009, and was awarded Employee of the Month and an Award of Excellence. From 2009 to 2011, they were the Lead Flash Engineer at Playdom, where they co-engineered the Flash blockbuster game Social City and led the live team to grow the game to 11 million users. At Turpitude, they worked as a Flash Architect from 2011 to 2012, and at Disney Interactive, they worked as a Software Engineer for Flash from 2012 to 2016. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at First Foundry as the Vice President of Engineering, where they grew the engineering division from 12 programmers to 55+, and oversaw devs on 4 to 7 projects at a time. Rob also worked at Pipeworks as a Dev Lead, where they created an immersive Unity VR experience for stress reduction and meditation. Currently, they are a Technical Director at Laguna Games.

Rob Sampson attended the University of Oregon from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Design.
