Isabel Lizardi Vilá has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and companies. In 2021, they co-founded LAIIER.IO, where they currently serve as the Chief People Officer. The company focuses on making buildings smart with connected sensors. Prior to this, from 2008 to 2023, Isabel was the Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Bare Conductive, a company that specializes in printed electronics and creating interactivity everywhere. Isabel also worked as a Design Tutor at Imperial College London from 2010 to 2011 and as a Design Consultant at UNESCO in 2008.

From 1997 to 2001, Isabel attended Choate Rosemary Hall, where they completed their high school education.

In 2001, they enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Design / Japanese Studies. Isabel completed their studies in 2005.

Following their undergraduate education, Isabel studied at Kyoto Seika University as a Research Student from 2006 to 2007, specializing in Traditional Japanese Crafts.

In 2007, they simultaneously enrolled in two institutions. Isabel pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Industrial Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art, which they completed in 2009. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Design Engineering at Imperial College London, which they also completed in 2009.

In terms of additional certifications, Isabel obtained a certification in "How to Manage a Remote Team" from Coursera in March 2022. The institution providing the certification was Coursera.
