Shamil Yoonus

Shamil Yoonus, BEng (Hons), IEng MICE, is a skilled civil engineer with extensive experience in the construction industry. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer and Lead Temporary Works Coordinator at Laing O'Rourke since October 2020, Shamil has previously held multiple engineering roles at Balfour Beatty plc, including overseeing critical offshore structures for the Hinkley Point C cooling system and managing complex civil engineering projects. Notable earlier positions include Site Engineer at J. Reddington, where Shamil rapidly progressed to Main Setting-Out Engineer, and a Production Engineer role at FIBRO BUILDING, focusing on improving the quality of precast concrete products. Shamil holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Brighton and an International Baccalaureate from Sotogrande International School.
