Joseph Golkosky has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Joseph began their career as a Software Engineer at Nuclear Data in 1985, where they developed and maintained software for radiation detection systems. From 1989 to 1992, they worked as a Software Engineer at Laboratory Automation, Inc. (now LAITEK, Inc.), designing and developing user interface software for a radiology viewstation and maintaining firmware for clinical ultrasound machines. Joseph then joined Merge Healthcare / Aurora Technology in 1996 as a Lead Software Engineer, where they worked until 2002. In this role, they assumed responsibilities for software development and engineering. Joseph then moved on to Medstrat, Inc in 2004 as a Senior Software Engineer, staying until 2008. During this time, they contributed to software development projects. Joseph then worked at XStor Medical Systems from 2008 to 2012 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and maintained a PACS storage archive server for the oncology market. Lastly, they joined GB Learning Services, LLC in 2007 as the Co-owner, Business Director, Software Developer, and System Administrator. In this role, they led the family-owned business in the educational field, developed and maintained the company website and online administration/payment system, managed business operations, and maintained relationships with customers, vendors, and government entities. Currently, Joseph is working as a Migration Engineer at Laitek Inc.

Joseph Golkosky completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from the University of Chicago from 1981 to 1985. Following this, they pursued various fields of study at the College of Lake County from 2000 to 2014, including Computer Science, Medical Imaging, Business, and Accounting. From 2014 to 2016, they furthered their knowledge in Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Systems at the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. Before attending college, Joseph graduated from Portage Central High School from 1978 to 1981.
