Läkarmissionen är en biståndsorganisation som verkar för hållbar fattigdomsbekämpning utifrån ett rättighetsperspektiv. Våra fokusområden är social och ekonomisk inkludering, utbildning, hälsa samt vatten, sanitet och hygien (WASH). Organisationen grundades 1958 och har idag närmare 300 anställda runt om i världen. Primärt arbetar vi för marginaliserade samhällsgrupper och kvinnor och barn som lever i utsatthet. Vi fokuserar på arbete i Afrika, Latinamerika, MENA-regionen och Europa. Det gemensamma arbetet leds från Läkarmissionens huvudkontor i Stockholm. Verksamheten finansieras genom insamling från allmänheten i Sverige och institutionella bidrag. LM International is an aid organisation that is committed to sustainable poverty reduction from a human rights perspective. Our focus areas are social and economic inclusion, training and education, health, and WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene). The organisation was founded in 1958 and currently employs almost 300 employees around the world. Our primary target groups are marginalised groups in society and vulnerable women and children. Our work is focused on Africa, Latin America, the MENA region and Europe, and directed from our head office in Stockholm. Our aid operations are financed by funds raised from the public in Sweden and by institutional grants.
