Edward Orshansky is a Family Physician who has worked in the field for over 10 years. In 2010, they began as a Medical Student at Saba University School of Medicine, where they served as President of the Saba University chapter of the American Medical Student Association and revitalized the AMSA chapter after 5 years of dormancy. Edward also created Saba Universities Simulated Grand Rounds Series. In 2014, they became a Resident - Family Medicine at Carilion Clinic. In 2016, they were appointed Chief Resident - Family Medicine at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. In 2017, they began working as a Hospitalist at Sound Physicians. In 2018, they worked as a Hospitalist at HNI Healthcare and as a Family Physician at St. Vincent's HealthCare. Since 2019, they have been working as Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of Inpatient Services, and Chief Of Staff at Lake Butler Hospital.
Edward Orshansky obtained their Bachelor of Science in Physics from Wagner College between 2006 and 2009. Edward then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Davenport University between 2010 and 2014. Edward also obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Saba University School of Medicine in 2014. Additionally, Edward holds certifications from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration as a DOT Medical Examiner (obtained in October 2018), as well as certifications from the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
