Chris Blanding

Chris Blanding is an experienced Chief Information Officer currently serving Lake County since June 2017, where responsibilities include leading IT innovation initiatives and overseeing enterprise IT systems. Previously, Chris held the CIO position at Journal Media Group, Inc., managing technology strategy and operations from April 2015 to April 2016, and served in various roles at Journal Communications, Inc., including VP IT, Senior IT Director, and Director of IT End User Services. Early in the career at Journal Broadcast Group, Chris was responsible for network, telecom, and security services as Manager of IT. Chris holds a B.S. in Management Information Technology from Cardinal Stritch University and attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2017.
