Nick Sauer is currently serving as a Lake County Forest Preserve District Commissioner and a Lake County Board Commissioner in Illinois, where they actively contribute to the County Finance & Administrative Committee and the Public Works & Transportation Committee. With a background in both public service and the private sector, Nick has been a partner at Sauer Kitchen Solutions since 2007, specializing in custom kitchen designs. They previously held various roles including a Field Director for a gubernatorial campaign in Colorado and a political appointee in the George W. Bush administration. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and public policy from the University of Denver and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.
