Minimally Invasive General & Bariatric Surgery at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital

Joseph J. Eid, MD, FACS, currently serves as the Medical Director at Lake Cumberland Weight Loss Center since February 2023 and as an Attending Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive general and bariatric surgery at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital since September 2020. Previous experience includes a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and multiple roles at St. John Providence, including Administrative General Surgery Chief Resident. Joseph has also completed general surgery residency at Mayo Clinic and an internship at St. George Hospital - University Medical Center, with additional observational experiences in colorectal and bariatric surgery at the University of South Florida. Joseph earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Balamand and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Notre Dame University.

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a 295-bed acute care facility, providing healthcare services for an 11-county service area in south central Kentucky.
