Kerry Powell

Kerry Powell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial management and organizational leadership, currently serving as the Director of Communications and Resources at the Lake District National Park Authority since November 2004. In this role, Kerry oversees a team of 200 staff and 450 volunteers, focusing on innovative service delivery, strategic people management, and financial strategy. Prior positions at the Authority include Director of Corporate Services and Director of Finance, where Kerry successfully implemented financial stability and effective management practices. Prior to joining the Authority, Kerry held the position of Head of Financial Services at Warwickshire County Council, managing significant budgets and transforming performance management in the Fire and Rescue department. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of York and additional studies at Worcester College of Technology.
