Greg Cleave, Ed.D. has over 15 years of experience in the education field. Greg started their career as an SDC Teacher at ABC Unified School District in 2003, and then moved on to Lake Elsinore Unified School District in 2004, where they held various roles including Program Specialist, Coordinator of Mental Health Services, Assistant Director of Special Education, and Principal. In 2016, they also worked as a Master Coach at Riverside County Office of Education.

Greg Cleave, Ed.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from San Diego State University in 2000. Greg pursued their Master of Arts degree in Sports Management at California State University, Long Beach from 2000 to 2002. In 2008, they earned their first Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from California State University-San Bernardino. Additionally, they completed a Master of Science degree in Special Education at National University from 2008 to 2010. Their highest level of education is their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in K-12 and Higher Ed, which they attained from the University of Southern California between 2014 and 2017.

Lake Elsinore Unified School District With roots going back to schools that opened in the late 1800s, the Lake Elsinore Unified School District is one of oldest public school systems in Southern California. Covering more than 140 square miles in Southwest Riverside County, the district serves the cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake and Wildomar and several unincorporated communities, including Lakeland Village and Horsethief Canyon. The district serves nearly 22,000 students at 13 elementary schools, two K-8 schools, four middle schools, three comprehensive high schools and four alternative schools. With more than 3,000 permanent and substitute employees, Lake Elsinore Unified is one of the biggest employers in the region. For the 2010-11 school year, the district's adopted operating budget is $153.7 million.
