David Rubino is currently the VP of External Affairs at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to this, they were a research intern at Mayo Clinic from August 2014 to May 2015, where they co-authored several studies concerning genetic risk-factors for Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Azhemier's Disease that are currently under review for publication. David also ran statistical analyses on large data sets using the PLINK genome association analysis toolset, converted results of statistical analyses into various figures using R software, and utilized UCSC Genome Browser to obtain genetic data. From May 2014 to April 2015, David was a Connect Caller at Jacksonville University, where they communicated with alumni and administration to inform alumni of current events, as well as secure donations for Financial Aid/Scholarships. In May 2013 to August 2013, David shadowed a physician at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute.
David Rubino attended Bishop Snyder High School and then Jacksonville University, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. David then attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Osteopathy. After completing their residency, they earned a Master's Degree in Medical Science from the University of South Florida.
David Rubino reports to John M. Ferretti, President & CEO. They are on a team with Steve Inman - VP, Fiscal Affairs & CFO, Dave Hopkins - Executive Director of LECOM Medical Fitness & Wellness Center, and Irving Freeman - VP, LECOM at Seton Hill.
